Hanging the cafe lights around 8’ and using thin, galvanized steel cable and metal clips that don’t weather in the sun and rain, ensures the lights are out of the way and securely attached. Even a pressure treated 4x4 post will give way and warp with tension over time, that’s why we use 2x2 steel posts when needed. We use only led bulbs, that way you can connect as many lights as you need, all controlled by a single timer.
